The পিয়ালি/piẏāli (Piyali) area was badly affected by Cyclone Amphan in May, 2020. Some houses were flattened, some had their roofs blown away, some had debris inside the rooms.
The following story, published after some of our below-mentioned works, outlines the situation of the residents of the area.
We provided some immediate relief by distributing তেলপল/tēlpôl (tripol – strong plastic covers) to some who needed desperately.
We rebuilt flattened houses.
We sustained ration distribution during the lockdown, especially after Cyclone Amphan devastated the region.
